Job-Bot.com // Thesis Project
Job-Bot.com is the collaborative effort of myself as well as my co-creator, Alex Liang. Together we worked steadily through the first semester of our senior year at Parsons, gathering relevant research and conducting interviews in relation to the problem we highlighted: the lack of inspiring, interesting, and personalized social networking recruitment systems online. Our second semester, we worked long and hard to create firstly our business idea, secondly our brand and identity, and finally, our in-depth business plan.
I acted as the Creative Director, where Alex was the Director of Operations. We worked on the plan together, however I am responsible for the creation of the brand identity as well as the website mockups with periodic input from my fantastic co-creator.
Our feature that sets us apart from traditional social networking recruitment is utilizing the importance of passive talent in filling positions within a company. We highlight this feature by providing special additional features for job searchers such as expressing "interest" in a company. Much like "liking" on facebook, users can click "interested in" a company, and will recieve updates on the company stats, as well as boosted priority in their job searches. For recruiters, users who are "interested in" their company will show up higher on the talent search results, as an employee that has strong feelings for their company is a far better fit than one who is nonchalant.
